EuroGROG Bulletin 1 - Week 2001/40 to 2001/46

Influenza activity is below or at baseline levels in all countries, although ARI or ILI activity have increased in some such as France and Belgium. Sporadic virologically confirmed cases of influenza A untyped, A(H3N2) and B were reported since September.

Elsewhere in the world
USA Regional influenza activity was reported by 4 States whereas 19 reported sporadic activity and 24 no activity. So far among 50 identified isolates, the predominant type is A (96%), all subtyped influenza A strains belong to the A(H3N2) subtype. Week 01/46
